Students in Mr. Kunert's high school US history class made recipes from the Great Depression Era. Options included water pie, wacky cake, poor man's meal, Hoover stew, and more! Some were good...some not so good.

Come out to Orab Gym tonight to enjoy the Procession of Choirs at 7pm.

National School Breakfast Week is March 3-7.
Myth: Kids don't need breakfast if they have lunch at school.
Fact: Skipping breakfast can affect focus, energy and performance. School breakfasts are designed to give kids the energy they need to succeed!

Sheldon High School students used surveying equipment to calculate the height of the auditorium ceiling in Mr. Maggert's class.

Congratulations to the following Sheldon Community School District art winners!
Our recent shows include the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards (national juried competition) and the Youth Art Month Competition, which is a juried show hosted by the Sioux City Art Center, with about 20 Western Iowa high schools invited to submit works. The judges selected only 60 artworks total from Western Iowa high schools for the show. It will be held in the 3rd floor gallery of the art center from February 22 through April 19. Everyone is welcome to check out our students' amazing work!
A reception and awards ceremony was held at the art center on Sunday, February 23, from 1:30-3pm, which was open students, parents, and the public.

Sheldon Middle School 5th graders completed a "Phases of the Moon" science project. They were tasked with finding any supplies of their choosing to show each phase of the Moon, the locations of the Sun and Earth during each phase, and the order the phases went through. We set up a "museum" where the students were able to present and display their work to the other 5th graders.
