Sheldon Schools - NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Friday, January 15, due to inclement weather.

4th grade students have been studying energy sources. Today they took what they have learned and built circuits with their classmates!

Sheldon Schools will be dismissing early today at 1:15 for East, at 1:20 for High School, and at 1:30 for Middle School.

The Siouxland Conference is planning to allow 50% capacity for all home basketball and wrestling events. Households will be able to continue using the passes previously distributed. If the general public wishes to attend a home Sheldon BB or WR event, they will need to stop in the HS office to get a wristband to attend the event. We will distribute wristbands until reaching our 50% capacity number. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the HS office. All spectators are required to wear a mask while at events.

Our staff spotlight this week features Ms. Larson and Ms. Loos, thanks for the work you do for our students and community!

The Siouxland Conference is moving to 50% capacity for winter activities after the lifting of the Governor's proclamation last night. We have wristbands available in the HS office for the basketball game tonight at Okoboji, $5 to get in. Masks are still required for all fans.

East Elementary Winter Concert:
Last school year was our first winter concert for our 1-4 grade students and it was a very positive experience for our students and families! We have decided that we would like to continue to provide this experience to our elementary students and families, however, it will look different this year as we can’t have an audience in attendance.
On Tuesday, December 22, our 1st-4th grade students will perform in the gym during the school day and be recorded (families can not attend) for anyone to view at home at a later date. The recording of the concert will be broadcasted online through KIWA sometime during Christmas Break. We will post the date and time it will air on our facebook page and send out a message as soon as we know, or you may keep your eye on KIWAradio.com to watch for the link.

Today was an exciting day at East Elementary! The 4th graders participated in the 1st Annual Thanksgiving Balloon Parade. Their balloons were picked from popular children's books. The students worked extremely hard the last few weeks to construct these awesome balloon characters!
