Middle School art students are working on their surrealist bedroom paintings. Surrealism art aims to revolutionize the human experience. It balances a rational vision of life with one that asserts the power of dreams. Our students have been doing such a great job with this project. We are excited to see their finished products!

Our Kindergarteners are loving their Bee-Bots.
Bee-Bots are a perfect starting point for teaching control, directional language, and programming for our Kindergarteners at East Elementary.
Students have been learning how to work with the Bee-Bots throughout the year and are already learning how to program the Bee-Bots in more complicated ways.
Way to go Kindergarten!

1st graders led the school wide assembly today at East Elementary.
The 1st graders talked about how important it is to work together to get a job done. The whole 1st grade class built a large snowman during the assembly to demonstrate how everyone could work together and do their part to get the job done.
Great work 1st grade!

East Elementary students got to enjoy some fun activities of their choice after learning more about Habit 7 from the book, "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People."
Habit 7 talks about Sharping the Saw, which means preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have—you! It means having a balanced program for self-renewal in the four areas of your life: physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual.
Our students got to practice Sharpening the Saw, by taking some time to do some activities that they enjoy and have some fun with their friends.
Each classroom had a different activity that the kids could pick from. Some of the activities included Legos, free drawing, playdough, board games, puzzles, darts, and more!
It was so fun to see our students get to Sharpen their Saw and enjoy some fun activities of their choice!

8th Graders put their poetry knowledge to the test to try to escape the Poetry Escape Room.
Students worked in groups to try to escape by analyzing poetry and depicting the meaning of the poems.
This was a fun and interactive way for our students to review poetry before an upcoming test.
Great work 8th grade!

Mrs. Buenger's 1st graders made some winter snowmen during their art class. The students did so well with this very large art project.
It's safe to say that the students could make a real snowman outside, just as big or bigger with all the snow that we have had this year!
If you drive by East Elementary, you can see these snowmen waving to your from the window!
