On Wednesday, 4th grade science had “shark day”.
The 4th graders got an opportunity to learn about sharks and how shark’s use their senses. 4th graders were able to explore the shark's senses with a Webquest, watch some cool shark videos, and they got to color some shark pictures to round the day off.

Kindergarteners went to the play, One Snowy Night, at Northwestern on Tuesday. Students enjoyed getting to watch the play and then meet the characters after the show!

Students in 3rd grade have spent the beginning of the year learning about various map skills such as knowing directions and identifying the continents and oceans. Students were able to make their own globes to practice labeling where each continent and ocean was located!

3rd graders were introduced to multiplication this week and practiced their skills with a partner game. They learned strategies like making equal groups and skip counting and their partner checked their work with a calculator.

Farm Safety Day was held today at Sheldon High School.
This year, the Sheldon High School FFA had 40 of their FFA members that took part in the planning and teaching of stations throughout the day. Just over 125 2nd graders from East Elementary, Sanborn Christian and Sheldon Christian come to learn more about Farm Safety.
A huge thank you to a number of local businesses and organizations that helped make today possible: Sanford Sheldon, Sheldon Power, O'Brien County Implement, and Sheldon Fire and Rescue.

In writing class this week, the 4th graders wrote letters to their Senior Selves.
Students predicted what activities they would be involved in and asked questions pertaining to their high school years. When the students are in 12th grade, they will get their letters returned to them.
