Congratulations to the Sheldon Middle School students selected to participate in the Strong Foundations Honor Band! 🎶

On January 19, several talented 6th-grade musicians took part in the Strong Foundations Honor Band at Heelan High School in Sioux City. This program provides young instrumental musicians with an excellent ensemble experience in a positive, supportive environment while working with outstanding music educators. Students rehearsed throughout the day and concluded with an evening concert at 6:00 p.m.

Congratulations to the Sheldon Middle School students selected to participate in the Strong Foundations Honor Band! 🎶 On January 19, several talented 6th-grade musicians took part in the Strong Foundations Honor Band at Heelan High School in Sioux City. This program provides young instrumental musicians with an excellent ensemble experience in a positive, supportive environment while working with outstanding music educators. Students rehearsed throughout the day and concluded with an evening concert at 6:00 p.m.

Sheldon Middle School students enjoyed an activity took during our December all-school assembly. One teacher from each grade, along with four students, was selected to “build a snowman” using the teacher as the snowman. A fifth team made up of all teachers also competed against the grade-level teams.

Each team was challenged to completely use three rolls of toilet paper, along with mittens, a hat, and a carrot, within the allotted time.

The 7th-grade team—featuring Mrs. Keizer as the snowman—claimed the win! The winner was determined by the loudest cheering section.
