The Sheldon Community Schools will once again be serving our summer meals. These meals are free to children 18 years of age and younger; parents are also welcome to attend. This year we will be serving meals at East Elementary (use the north door - look for signs to be posted) and meals will be eaten on site. Makayla Van Voorst attended the Governor’s Scholar Program Recognition Ceremony where she received her award. Iowa’s top academic students were chosen by their member schools for the 2023 Governor’s Scholar Program. The 422 seniors honored were selected by their high schools as the highest academic achievers. Students receive a photo plaque from the ceremony and certificate to commemorate their achievement. Students were also recognized one by one at a ceremony and got to meet with the governor and lieutenant governor. Congratulations Makayla! #LeadOn #orabs #sheldonorabs

5th graders were able to practice their coding skills with the Ozobots. The Ozobot follows lines drawn on white paper. Colors drawn in different sequences tell the Ozobot what to do. Reading Center Time is a time for students to spread out around the room to different centers and work on a variety of reading skills.
