Sheldon High School students have had the opportunity to learn more about graphic design and social media sharing in their Mass Media class this week.
Through this class, our students are able to learn the basics in social media marketing, professionalism, graphic design, reporting, photography, videography, and more. This week students learned more about the different graphic design tools we use and took part in a zoom training with the company that we run our website through.
Be on the lookout for some of our student work as they learn to create, share, and promote Sheldon Community Schools in a positive and professional way.

First grade students received their whisper phones this week and they were so excited!
Whisper phones can improve phonemic awareness, increase comprehension of what is being read, help students read at an appropriate voice volume, build confident readers, and make reading fun!

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, especially for our students. If your student doesn't have time to each breakfast at home, they can eat breakfast at school. Eating breakfast can benefit students in many ways throughout the school day. They are able to concentrate better, are more alert, and can have better test scores. Thank you to our wonderful kitchen staff that serves breakfast daily from 7:45-8:20 am at each of our buildings for our students.

Today marked an incredible start to the new school year as we welcomed back our entire district staff for the first day of professional development.
The day started with getting back together with the staff catching up with each other and a breakfast prepared by our amazing lunchroom staff.
Our special guest speaker, V.J Smith, graced us with his humor and inspirational words, emphasizing the incredible impact of doing the little things that can truly make a difference in the lives of our students and those around us.
Staff then enjoyed a great lunch from Pizza Ranch before meeting with their teams to get ready for the 2023-2024 school year.
