2nd graders are working on their throwing accuracy in PE with a game called, Monster Ball. On the command students attempt to throw the small balls at the Monster Ball in order to make it move. Their goal is to try and get the Monster ball to cross the line on the opposing team’s side of the line. If the Monster Ball rolls outside of the designated area – the opposing team’s side will receive one point. Our students have had such a fun time working on their throwing skills with this upbeat and intense game! #LeadOn #orabs #sheldonorabs #PE #sheldon #2ndgrade #throwingskills

6th graders explored the densities of water and cooking oil. They measured predetermined volumes of each liquid, poured them into jars, made observations, shook them for two minutes and then let them settle for ten minutes to see if the liquids would separate back into two layers. #LeadOn #orabs #science #learning #sheldonmiddleschool

Spanish II students have been studying Spanish terminology for different directional words and places found in a city. To practice these terms, students created a city map in Spanish and then wrote directions in Spanish on how to get from one place to another. Students then tested their Spanish speaking and listening skills and directed their classmates around their city map. #LeadOn #orabs #sheldonorabs #spanish #learning #sheldon #sheldonhighschool

Our sophomores attended the O'Brien County Career Day today where they were able to learn more about careers available right here in O'Brien County. Students spent the morning touring different businesses throughout O'Brien County learning about what employees do, training required, and career advancements available. Students also were able to listen to a variety of panel speakers who shared more about the careers they do. Students were able to ask them questions about their career in O'Brien County and why they choose to work there. Thanks to all of the businesses that welcomed our students into their buildings, O'Brien County Economic Development for hosting the event, the panelist for answering questions, NCC for allowing this event to be held in their buildings, and everyone else who helped make this possible for our students! #LeadOn #careers #learning #obriencounty #sheldonhighschool #sheldonorabs
