Sheldon Middle School students can bring any type of tape to be collected for LOVE INC from April 24-28th. All tape will then be donated to LOVE INC. Congratulations to our 2023 5th Grade DARE Graduates! D.A.R.E. stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. Our 5th graders go through this education program to learn about drug abuse, the consequences of abuse, and skills for resisting peer pressure to experiment with drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Today the 8th graders attended Career Day hosted by Northwest Iowa Community College. Students enjoyed hands on activities to learn more about some of the different career options available in our area. Middle School students in computer science class are working on designing an app of their choice. Students had to come up with an app idea, reasons why the app would be useful, as well as what features the app would have. The 6th graders did an amazing job with their Night of the Notables presentations! 6th graders researched a famous person from the past and presented the information to those that attended the Night of the Notables. People could stop by a notable person, played by the 6th grader, where they would then share information about their life. Night of the Notables will be Tuesday, April 11 from 7-8 PM at the Middle School. Night of the Notables is an event where the 6th grade students share their presentations on notable people in history. This is also a fundraising event, as people give them a quarter, students will then share their presentation. This money goes to help fund the 6th grade field trip.
