We have very talented students in our buildings. These 6th graders did some outstanding figure drawings. The students could not use any tracing or grid work in their drawings. This is just an sample of some of the incredible drawings that our students have done.
If you are ever in the Middle School building, be sure to check out some of our student art work on display next to the art room.

Sheldon Middle School students are learning how to set personal goals and work towards reaching them. The 6th grade students set some personal reading goals for the months of December and January. The students worked towards their goal each day. As a reward, the students who reached their goals were able to enjoy a afternoon of Bingo with some great prizes.
Great work 6th grade!

The 8th Graders spent some time this week helping the 6th graders with the beginning stages of research for Night of the Notables.
Night of the Notables is an annual 6th grade event. The 6th grade students research notable people in history and write a paper. They then turn their paper into a speech. On April 11, they will present it to the community like a wax museum. Every time someone gives them a quarter they say share their information. This is also a fundraiser for their 6th grade field trip.

Middle School art students are working on their surrealist bedroom paintings. Surrealism art aims to revolutionize the human experience. It balances a rational vision of life with one that asserts the power of dreams. Our students have been doing such a great job with this project. We are excited to see their finished products!

8th Graders put their poetry knowledge to the test to try to escape the Poetry Escape Room.
Students worked in groups to try to escape by analyzing poetry and depicting the meaning of the poems.
This was a fun and interactive way for our students to review poetry before an upcoming test.
Great work 8th grade!
